Tantogårdens BGK (Stockholm, Sweden) is becoming
the most international minigolf team in the world,
as it prepares for 2009 season with two new international names in the team:
Markus Berger of Austria (3rd best player at Nations Cup 2008)
and Kosti Salonen of Finland (11th at European Championships 2008, after 8 preliminary rounds).
The team also includes Erik Tiekstra of Netherlands
(bronze at European Championships 2006), who has played for Tantogården many years.
Swedish players in team Tantogården include Gustav Björnberg (4th in cup finals of European Championships 2008),
Pierre Zetterlund (8th at World Championships 2003), and Swedish national team coach
Jan Strandberg (silver at European Championships 2000), etc.
With the new top-class recruits from Austria and Finland, Tantogården wishes to get back
on the top of Swedish and international minigolf — which is now crowded by two other Swedish teams,
BGK Jönköping and most notably Uppsala BGK.
