Vitus Spescha took an easy victory at International Hallenmasters 2008,
playing a blue average score 24.63
at the 80% indoor beton course of Bassersdorf (CH).
The second best player in men’s competition was
Cedric Mathys, who lost 0.88 points per round to Spescha with his average score
25.50.
Patrick Arlitt was third in men’s competition, with average 25.75.
The best female player at IHM 2008 was Esther Wicki, whose average score 25.50
gave her a win margin of 31 points
(3.88 points per round) in the category of female seniors.
The second best female player was Rebecca Weber, who won the ladies
category with average 26.50.
Third best female player (2nd place in ladies category) was reigning European Champion
Sandra Wicki, with average score
26.75.
This year’s International Hallenmasters (IHM) attracted 101 players
from Switzerland, 4 players from Germany and 1 player from Austria.
