At the first weekly competition of the season in Södertälje BGK a fantastic result was made by Joakim Sundlöf.
After having started with a 28 on the felt course where 2007 JEC where played he made an unbelievable 21 the second round. The first round also contained two 3s and he hence made amazing 26 aces on two rounds. He was beating the really though course record of 22 set by Tim Hansson in the JEC. 22 is also the valid World record of felt, but the round by Joakim will not be counted since it was not made in international championships. 21, 20 and even an 18 round have been made on felt before but all those results was in indoor competitions. To our knowledge this is the first 21 being made outdoors.
Joakim was first substitute on the 2007 JEC in his home town but had after that showed to be a coming star for Sweden. He is probably amongst the 10-12 players that Jan Strandberg are thinking of for Odense this August.
