Today the perfect round of 18 was played by Jönköpings Martin Sjöberg at the indoor Felt course in Vinslöv, south Sweden. It was on a small local competition and can therefore not be counted as any official record. Nevertheless it’s an amazing and really rare achievement.
When Martin has aced the first 13-14 lanes on the second round all other play in the hall practically stopped and all competitors was following the last lanes for Martin. It became more and more silence in the hall the closer Martin came to the end. Despite this nervous situation Martin succeeded in also acing the last four lanes and the big cheer broke loose.
Some years ago this was done for the first time by Sjövikens Magnus Andersson in another indoor felt course in Älmhult, Sweden.
So now the club for 18 on Felt has two members. Martin has now also joined another exclusive club for those that have achieved 18 on two different course types. Martin has done this on eternit and felt. There are two other member of this club. The above mentioned Magnus Andersson has also done it on felt and eternit and of course Skoghalls Stefan Björk that has scored 18 on both eternit and beton.
