Victories in Lana for Manfred Schöller (Senior) and Paolo Porta (Men)

As usual, the 2nd stage of the international "Sudtiroler Autumn" has been played in Lana miniaturegolf course last weekend.
This was the 30th edition of the "Sudtirol Trophae" with 134 participating players, coming from Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.
The weather offered some difficult conditions with quite cold temperatures and high umidity that didn't let players having outstanding results.
The program of the tournament was as follows: 4 qualification rounds (some players on Saturday, some on Sunday), plus 2 final rounds for the best 25% players of each category.
The best overall result came from the Senior I category with Manfred Schöller (BAC Baden, Austria) that scored a total of 129 (21,5 average) strokes thanks to a very regular play (22-22-21-22-20-22 ). In the same category, we also find the 2nd best individual result with the actual EMF Sport Director, Günter Schwarz (BGSV Kerpen, Germany) that scored a total of 130 (21,7 average) strokes.
Also the winner of the men category, Paolo Porta (MGC Novi Ligure, Italy) scored a total of 130 strokes, with following rounds: 23-20-24-21-19-23), and this was enough to be better by 2 strokes than Gerno Grapengeter (BGV Bergisch Land, Germany) and by 5 than 3 players, the winner in Naturns Alex Lang (AMV Algund), Michael Gebetshammer (Putterteam Salzubrg, Austria) and the old but always strong Gianfranco Pagnin (MC Terme Euganee).
This is the 2nd victory for Paolo in this tournament (the previous one in 2007), also coming after a 2nd place in 2009 and a 3rd place in 2008.
Important victory in the team event for the home club: SV Lana (team formed by Hannes Laimer, Roland Mair, Paolo Marcuzzi, Diether Gilmozzi) takes the victory on the home after many years with a total of 374 (23,37 avg) strokes, 7 better than two teams, SSV Naturns and MGC Siusi with SSV Naturns getting the silver medal place after playoff.

- SENIOR LADIES I, Beate Wolff (BSV 82 Ohlsbach, Germany) with 139 strokes
- SENIOR MEN II, Konrad Klostermayer (MGC Besigheim, Germany) with 140 strokes
- SENIOR LADIES II, Renate Widek (BGSC Leobersdorf, Austria) with 152 strokes
- JUNIOR MALE, Hannes Laimer (SV Lana, Italy) with 139 strokes
- JUNIOR FEMALE, Valentina D'Amico (MGC Novi Ligure, Italy with 162 strokes
The perfect "18" round could not be played this time during the tournament.
The best round was a 19 played by the following 7 players:

The last stage of the Südtiroler Autumn will be played next weekend on the brand new course in Algund. It seems to be a quite tricky course with some difficult lanes like the new "Salzburger-V", but some good results should be assured because the participation of some very good players like Alexander Geist is announced. » Complete results and statistics
