Swedish Carl-Johan Ryner got an unpleasant surprise yesterday when he wanted to get his newly won diamond from Minigolf Diamond Master in Czech Republic valued by a jeweller in Uppsala.
"-After what seemed like forever the man behind the desk came back to me and ask me if it was a joke", says a both upset and sad Carl-Johan Ryner to Minigolfnews.
It turned out that the diamond was ordinary worthless glass. When the jeweller man found out the story behind the diamond he was not surprised. He had herd rumours about that there was a shipping from the Champagne dealer missing a few months ago that later turned up with fake diamonds. "Probably an inside job in the criminal world he said to me", continues Carl-Johan.
"-The Champagne company has promised to replace the fake diamond with a real one as soon as possible", says Carl-Johan, "so it might get turn out not to be a joke in the end".
