ASKÖ MGC Bischofshofen won the two first days of men’s
Austrian Bundesliga at the beton course of Liefering - Salzachsee
on 3–4 May 2008.
BGCU Rot Gold was strongest in women’s competition, winning
the second day of the league, and taking second place on the first day.
Christian Freilach and Stefan Kellershohn were the best players of
the weekend, both of them playing an average score
25.67
on the relatively easy beton course.
(The best rounds of the weekend were

by Wolfgang Buxbaum and

by Alexandra Schrimmel.)
The best female player was reigning world champion Elisabeth Gruber,
with an average score
26.50.
Austrian Bundesliga is played on 6 days (3 weekends), each weekend
on a different playing system (beton, eternite, felt).
The winner of each day gets 8 points, second gets 6 points,
third 4 points, fourth 2 points, and fifth 0 points.
