"Blue" victory for Vitus Spescha-Cedric Mathys at Bassersdorf 30 hour

"Blue" victory for Vitus Spescha-Cedric Mathys at Bassersdorf 30 hour The traditional marathon 30 hours in Kloten-Basserdorf minigolf hall has been played last weekend.
Since some years the most prestigious tournament of the european minigolf winter has a dominating team, which is formed by the two MC Olten players Vitus Spescha and Cedric Mathys .
But this year they really destroyed all the other teams with a fantastic result of 598 strokes in 24 rounds (average 24.9). The second team came from Austria and stayed 14 points behind the two Swiss: Reinhard Schuster and Günther Inmann scored a total of 614 strokes (25.5 average) that means that Reinhard didn't suffer the change of team mate, after playing for many years with Michael Gebetshammer.
Third place for a Swiss team formed by Raffi Wietlisbach (that usually plays quite well on this course) with the youngster Beat Wartenweiler that scored a total of 621 strokes (25.8 average).

Just below the podium there had been a German/Mainz domination with 3 teams placed in the order: 5th place for Stoparic/Hermann (632 strokes, 26.33 avg), 6th place for Greiffendorf/Szablikowski Andrè (634 strokes, 26.41 avg), 7th place for Szablikowski Bernd/Spreier (637 strokes, 26.54 avg).

The best finnish and italian teams finished tied in 13th place with 650 strokes (27.08 avg): Marko Nuotio/Norbert Nolte from MC Sibeliuspark and Paolo Porta/Emanuele Prestinari (from MGC Novi Ligure and GSP Cusano).

As usual it has been a very competitive tournament with 27 teams under 28 average.
