Yvonne Klukas and Samuel Hofer are the new Swiss Champions. This year the championship was played at beton in Locarno, close to the Italian border at the beautiful Lago Maggiore.

In the ladies class it was to be a battle between the two national team stars Yvonne Klukas and Maja Wicki. Rebecka Weber had a bad start and was not able to close the gap to the two leaders and ended in bronze position. Maja Wicki was in the leading position after eight of nine rounds, but Yvonne Klukas was taking stroke-by-stroke and after lane 13 the last lap Yvonne was in the lead. This she kept and won by two strokes before Maja.

In the men's class Samuel Hofer set a new course record in lap 5 with 24 and was then in the leading position. He was chased the last two laps by last years junior Andreas Schneider, but he could not get all the way to Samuel and ended in silver position four strokes behind. In bronze position we find Jean-Louis Cazzato another two strokes behind Schneider.

The other winners were:

School kids boys: Lars Anderegg
Junior boys: Beat Wartenweiler
Junior Girls: Natasha Huber
Senior ladies: Claudia Anderegg
Senior men: René Schappi
