Wroxham Barns Adventure Golf Course in Norfolk this weekend saw the British Championships played with several categories being up for grabs including the overall championship title. While it wasn't a large field, it sounds like it was an incredibly close and exciting event, coming down to the final two rounds.
From the BMGA recap of the event: "Adam was pushed all the way across the weekend by UK number 1 player Michael Smith (Midlands Minigolf Club) and fellow Kent Minigolf Club teammate Sean Homer with all three players tied for the lead after 5 rounds. After shooting a 29 in the 6th round, Adam went into the final round 5 shots clear of his rivals but in a tense and thrilling final 18 holes, the gap was cut and the title went right to the wire with Adam winning the event and picking up his third Major title at the final hole, finishing 33 under par for the competition, beating the former British Champion Michael by 1 shot and Sean by 2 shots."
We'd like to thank the BMGA for the recap and would like to remind everyone else that if you have results from any tournaments let us know so we can post them on #minigolfmonday!
