Former Swedish national team player Jesper Andersson
won the most important Swedish beton competition of the year,
on the home field of his club team Skoghall.
Jesper played an average score 27.83,
two points ahead of Gustav Björnberg (Tantogårdens BGK), and three points ahead of
Ulf Kristiansson (Skoghalls BGK) in third place.
Jesper Andersson has an impressive career history at international competitions.
In the three majors that he has played (Praha 2002, Bad Münder 2003,
Timisoara 2004), his average rank is 6.00 — better than the career average of
any other modern player except Marco Templin of Germany.
The best female players in Skoghall were Karin Wiklund
(average 29.00),
Sandra Weaver
(29.33)
and a relatively new face in Swedish top-class minigolf, Rose-Marie Lönnqvist of Tantogårdens BGK
(average 29.83).
A most positive performance was seen from a 14-year old local schoolboy Sebastian Ekängen,
who defeated nearly the entire Swedish national team with his average score
28.80.
