Youth domination at "20 hours" marathon in Novi Ligure

The 1st edition of the "20 hours" pair marathon has been played on Novi Ligure miniaturegolf course last weekend.» Complete results and statistics
The tournament started at 6 p.m. on Saturday 4th July and ended at 2 p.m. on Sunday 5th. The game went on very fast, so that 21 rounds were played.
The tournament was completely dominated by Italian youth national team players.
The victory went to the pair Lorenzo Ciompi / Lorenzo Bellucci (both from ASMC Follonica) that obtained a total score of 439 strokes on 21 rounds (20,905 average).
No one could compete with this very good average!
Another youth player, Nicola Bellucci (also from ASMC Follonica) got the 2nd place in pair with Paolo Porta (MGC Novi Ligure) with a total score of 463 strokes (22,045 average) and 24 strokes gap from the winning pair. Nicola and Paolo started not so good in the tournament (6th place after 6 rounds) but they slowly recovered ending at the same score of the pair Boris Arzuffi / Matteo Pirovano (MT Amatese / MGC Novi Ligure), that ended 3rd after a playoff.
4th place for the pair Luca Picciali / Maurizio Fermi (MC Basilischi / MT Amatese) and 5th place for another young pair, Lorenzo Levis / Emanuele Prestinari (GSP Vergiate / MGC Novi Ligure), that tried to fight with Ciompi / Bellucci for the lead of the tournament until half competition but they couldn't keep that rhythm during the second part of the tournament.
As concerns individual result, the best player of the tournament was Lorenzo Ciompi with an excellent average of 20.3 over 12 rounds and a very extraordinary sequence of rounds (19-20-19-18) that setted the new course record on 4 rounds (76 strokes, the old one was 78).
2nd best individual player was Luca Picciali with 21,3 average, then Paolo Porta with 21,4 average and Lorenzo Bellucci and Boris Arzuffi with 21,8 average.
Two 18-rounds had been setted during the tournament by Lorenzo Ciompi and Boris Arzuffi.
