This year’s winter tournament at Nord-Als Minigolf Klub was colder than most other years.
Windy conditions and temperatures at minus 1-2 showed no mercy to the 18 participants who, for the major part of them, were experienced at this particular tournament.
Snow and minus degrees since mid december has left Denmark in a very winterlike state. This is rather unususal to the Danes who have not experienced this degree of winter for some years now.
However, the snow and cold did not keep the players away, and especially not Allan Schwab of Aalborg Minigolf Klub, who won this tournament for the 6th time in a row. It should be mentioned that this is his former home ground and two new courses were not enough to keep him away from a safe victory in front of Bjarne Hansen, Broager Banegolf Klub and Leif Meitilberg, Odense Minigolf Club. Allan won with a margin of 15 points.
Leif Meitilberg is the keeper of another record. He has participated in all 15 tournaments that have been held during the years.
Lars Thomsen of Nord-Als Minigolf Klub took the victory in the Senior’s Class after a sudden death against Rudolf Matthies of Broager Banegolf Klub.
