Senior player wins in Weinheim

During easter holidays, the annual combi-tournament (6 rounds beton, 6 rounds eternite)in German Weinheim was played. Since the weather was quite cold, with some rain and wind, the results were not as low as usual on the normally relative easy courses.
In the mens category, last years winner, Robert Hahn, MGC Ludwigshafen, managed to defend his victory, with an average of 21,8 on the eternite course and 29,5 on the beton course, a total score of 308. Second place was taken by Norwegian Lars Kvael, playing for the Swedish club Skoghalls BGK, with total score of 312 and third place was won by Danish Peter Sörensen from BGC Odense with a total score of 315.
Best player of the tournament however, was Swedish Martin Lundell, Gullbergsbro BGK, who entered the seniors category for the first time. Martin had the overall best result on both eternite (21,5) and beton (28,0 ) and a total score of 297 . This was Martins 4th win in the tournament during the years.
The club team competition was won by MGC Ludwigshafen and the 2-men team competition was won by Martin Lundell and Krister Evenmyr, Uppsala BGK. » Results » Article in Weinheimer Nachrichten (in German)
