Strandberg wins in sunny Stockholm

The second weekend of the Cup Stockholm has been played this weekend at the new beton course of Tantogårdens BGK in Stockholm, the same course as where the Swedish Championships of 2010 and the World Championships of 2011 will be played. A total of 63 players from all over Sweden came to Stockholm to play the tournament under sunny, but cold circumstances.
Class D was won by homeplayer Anders Öhman with a total of 105 strokes (35,0 average) followed by Kristinebergs Banoo Makki and Johan Lönnroth (Ersta BGK) with 109 and 120.
Also the top players in class C came from Stockholms area. Arne Andersson (Haninge - 104), Mohammad Mousavi (Kristineberg - 105) came in first and second. Per Hellqvist (Södertälje) and Thomas Helgesson (Norrtälje) took the third place with a total of 106 shots.
In the afternoon it was time for the 'top'players to show their skills. In the B category the first green scores came up. Eventually Annelie Larsson from Malmö won with a total of 90 shots (30,0 average), followed by Andreas Fransson and Emma Löf with 91 shots.
In class A Jan Strandberg showed all the players he is still part of the top-players in Sweden with a total score of 83 shots (27,7 average). Daniel Ågren followed Jan by just one shot after a superb ending: 26. Lars Brown of Uppsala, who had a difficult start with 32, came in 3rd with a total of 87 shots. » Results
