The last day of the Austrian Championships a KO competition like the one used in international championship is played. The Austrians have a separate title for this and they call it the "Staatsmeisterschaften".

As always in KO-modus the matches could have surprising winners. So also this time where the best players from the stroke play Gunther Inmann lost against 8 ranked Mario Dangl in the quarterfinal. The best lady player Elisabeth Gruber made it through to the Final where she lost against Cernicek.

Dangl lost his semifinal to the winner Christian Gobetz who won the final beating Manfred Lindmayr. Lindmayer has before that won his semifinal against Rupert Westenthaler.

In the junior girls class the winner was Jacqueline Helm winning over Lara Jehle. The most impressive with the junior lady competition was that it gathered no less than 15 players. This in times when some big nations struggling with getting 4 girls to the national team.

In the junior boys class the winner was Daniel Krof by winning 6-5 against Matthias Moschinger.
