The 2010 season ending ranking list from WMF has been published by WMF.
On the ladies side the two finalists from the Predazzo Championships Rebecca Weber, Switzerland and Elisabeth Gruber, Austria, are in tied first position. In third place we find another dominant from Predazzo Switzerlands Melanie Blaser that was best of all in the qualifying rounds.
The two ladies that have dominated the WMF ranking list since 2008, Karin Wiklund, Sweden and Elisabether Realla, Austria was not playing internationally during 2010 and has slipped into 7th and 9th positions.
At the men’s side Walter Erlbruch, Germany is found in top. Walter was knocked out in the quarterfinals in Predazzo and is stepping up from last rankings second position taking over from Anders Olsson, Sweden that has been in top position since November 2007. Anders was not playing in Predazzo and has now dropped down to 7th place. In second position we find Switzerland’s Reto Sommer stepping up from Bronze to silver and third we find the younger Erlbruch brother Harald.
The European Champion Erik Tiekstra, Netherlands is still suffering from a weak 2009 season and is found in 14th position.
On the juniors list Germanys Anna Nitschke is still leading the girls and Swiss Nicolai Bhend has taken over the lead amongst the boys from Vit Skaloud.
On the seniors list Austrias Maria Fuschelberger is still leading the ladies and Germanys Karl-Heinz Gewert is also still on top amongst the gentlemen's.
Best nation in all categories are Germany.

05 Jan 2011 at 16:32 | AS - I see now that you sent me a PM about that. Many thanks, I'll comment to you! That's the right way to act! |

05 Jan 2011 at 16:30 | Misak, I can recommend studying the mode of the ranking lists, which can be found on the WMF-homepage. Education is always good! Not very many players got points from Vienna, but that is only because they lost more than 3,00 average points to the King of Felt... Maximum points are 300 for ECup and losing 1,00 average points to the best result of the competition means getting 100 points less than maximum. CJR has 300 points for this competition and Lars Brown for example 167, meaning he lost (only) 1,33 average points to Calle. If a player played U23 and ECup - for example - he can only get the points from the better competition of those two, not from both.
AS, these confusions with names (if that is what you mean, you are still not very precise with your statements) are unfortunate, but if a national federation or the player hm/herself doesn't advise the ranking list manager, it is quite hard for them to know about these mistakes. WMF officials have many tasks, but staying informed about marriages or other name changes is not quite on top of the priority list there. A mail to the list manager always helps. The name of the manager can always be found at the end of the mode description on minigolfsport.com.
Looking forward to all improvements and corrections,
Pasi |

05 Jan 2011 at 15:03 | Misak> Really? I can see seventeen men that seem to have points from EC 2010 in the ranking. Can't say if it is enough, though. :-) |

05 Jan 2011 at 13:13 | only 4 players(men) have a points from Europa cup(Wien) |

05 Jan 2011 at 12:42 | Maybe WMF doesn't know that André Silva and André Manuel are the same person :D |
AS (André Silva) |
05 Jan 2011 at 11:22 | In the case of the Portuguese players there are at least some points concerning National and International competitions missing. |

04 Jan 2011 at 18:57 | The rankings are already at the WMF site. And as usual there is missing data. | Add comment | To add comments, you need to log in.
