The cup finals of Minigolf European Championships 2008 offered entertainment
for the whole minigolf family. Some 300 spectators (of whom 170 online,
viewing the webcams) witnessed the sudden death play-off for gold between
Nicole Piechotta of Germany and Sandra Wicki of Switzerland.
At the 3rd lane of sudden death play-off,
Nicole Piechotta scored a hole-in-one, and Sandra Wicki missed...
or so everyone thought. But destiny decided otherwise:
the ball went into the hole from two unexpected wall hits. And five
minutes later, Sandra Wicki stood as the winner of Minigolf European Championships 2008.
