Nominations for player of the year in Sweden

Sweden 12 Feb 2009 at 11:22 | Published by: Hans | Views: 10248 | News search  | source: SBGF

Nominations for player of the year in Sweden Swedish Minigolf Federation (SBGF) has announced five candidates of the award player of the year in Sweden.

The five nominated players are:

Jesper Andersson, Skoghalls BGK: Silver in EC both in Team and individual
Sandra Bengtsson, Uppsala BGK: Silver in EC Team and Gold with Uppsala in the Europacup.
Filip Svensson, Skoghalls BGK: Silver both in team and individual in JWC.
Bernice Thors, Gullbergsbro BGK: Silver in individual SEC.
Sandra Weaver, BGK Jönköping: Silver in EC Team and 4th place individual. Bronze in Europacup.

Worth noticing is that the only one of the above that are Swedish Champions of the 2008 season is Bernice Thors in the old-timers ladies class. So the jury that consists of the Swedish Team head coaches (Jan Strandberg, Stig Pettersson and Erik Gustavsson) has validated international achievements high.

I guess Sandra Weaver's SM Gold (Mixed SM) doesn't count as being a Swedish Championship then eh Hans? ;) hehe
