Lamego - Eternit course is ready for SEC

In the beginning of the 20th century, Lamego was the stage of the first youth international championship in Portugal. For the majority of people it was the best ever realized, for the rest was one of the bests. So, the expectations are very high for the next big event there. It will happen this year with the first senior European championship.
Lamego has 18000 inhabitants and is located in the south side of Douro river and it is part of a region considered World Heritage by UNESCO.
Known by the wines (Porto and Red), the city also has incredible monuments as the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios and its monumental stairs (686 steps).
In 2000, the courses (beton and eternit) were not new but this year with the support of the Town Hall, the Minigolfe Clube de Lamego presents to the European players one brand new course of eternit and a retouched beton course. This week finished the construction of the eternit course and it is foreseen that the beton course will be finished until the end of March.

In May, the Teams Cup and the Portuguese Individual Championship will be played there, as well as the Nations Cup in the end of the month.
