The outdoor Italian season started this weekend with an international tournament in Paderno Dugnano on the concrete course.
105 players took part in this tournament that was played with light rain and quite cold temperature all day long.
The jury decided to cut one round and make the tournament ends after 2 rounds to let players have the right time to dry the lanes and play with the best conditions possible.
The overall victory went to the young Emanuele Prestinari, MGC Novi Ligure, 13 years old, who played like an very experienced player at the difficult conditions. He got the total score of 62 strokes (31-31), which is an excellent score since the Paderno concrete course is a really tricky course even without the wet conditions. Emanuele obviously won also his schoolboys category.
The best players in the elite men category (and 2nd overall placed) were Rudi Giroldini (GSP Vergiate) and Gabriele Rovera, GSP Lozza. Rudi won the playoff for elite men category after lane 7. 3 players tied for 3rd place (Niccolò Perazzolo, Marco Ambrosini, Ivano Molteni) with 66 strokes, other 3 players tied for 6th place (Piero Porta, Roberto Parisi, Paolo Porta) with 67 strokes.
The team event was a close fight with 4 teams that ended with a small gap of just 3 strokes. GSP Lozza and MC Monza tied for 1st place with 276 strokes. GSP Lozza won the playoff at lane 1. GSP Vergiate got a 3rd place with 278 strokes and MGC Novi Ligure 4th with 279 strokes.

- Vittorio Bandera, MC Monza, with 69 strokes in the senior men category
- Emilia Prina, MMC Paderno, with 75 strokes in the senior ladies category
