Dutch team championships won by Leeuwarden and Ridderkerk Last weekend the Dutch Minigolf Federation organised the team championships for ladies and men. The competition was played on the beton courses of Ridderkerk, a total of 10 rounds were played in different weather conditions.

Only two ladies teams were present: Leeuwarden and Ridderkerk. The start was prey for Ridderkerk and after 3 rounds they led by 11 strokes. But after the fifth round Leeuwarden came back and took the lead with only 1 stroke.
Ridderkerk started the second day good and took back the lead. After the seventh round they were ahead by 6 strokes. Round eight was with great difference in favour for Leeuwarden 89 - 103. After round ten, which went to Leeuwarden 85 - 95, the title was for Leeuwarden with a total scores of 956 - 968.

Winner of this championships will be representing the Netherlands at the European Cup in October in Vaduz.

Since the change of the playing system in the Netherlands, they Dutch Team Title for the men is not enough to qualify for the European Cup. Six men teams were present in Ridderkerk. The home team of Ridderkerk were too strong on their homecourse. After 5 rounds on the first day they were second after Zoetermeer 968 - 971, but the first round of the second day they took the lead and did not give this lead away. After 10 rounds Ridderkerk was champion with 1960 strokes before Zoetermeer with 1969 and Geldrop with 1994 strokes.
