Mainz again women’s champion in German Bundesliga

MGC Mainz renewed its champion title in women’s German Bundesliga. MGC Göttingen won the last Bundesliga weekend at the felt course of Künzell, but remained 4 points behind Mainz in the final league table.
A new rising team BGC Uerdingen rose to fight for the medals in women’s Bundesliga, being the third best team in the final Bundesliga weekend. BGC Neutraubling flopped to 5th place in the last weekend, but just narrowly kept 3rd rank in the final league table, 2 league points ahead of Uerdingen.
MSK Olching was 5th in women’s German Bundesliga, and 6th MGC Olympia Kiel must step down to 2nd Bundesliga, having collected 0 league points in this entire Bundesliga season.
In men’s Bundesliga BGS Hardenberg-Pötter had ensured their victory (10th gold in last 11 years) already after 5th competition weekend. MGC Mainz won the last league weekend in Künzell, and was second in the final league table, 14 points behind Hardenberg.
Defending champion MGC Dormagen-Brechten was in tied league points with SG Arheilgen before the last Bundesliga weekend, in 3rd place of the league table. Arheilgen was clearly weaker at the felt course of Künzell, and Dormagen-Brechten had no difficulty ensuring bronze medals for themselves.
Niendorfer MC was 5th in men’s German Bundesliga, only 2 league points behind SG Arheilgen. League jumbo Bochumer MC must step down to 2nd Bundesliga, having collected only 2 league points during this entire season.
Best players at the felt course of Künzell were Sascha Spreier (average 28.00), Alexander Geist (28.33), Marcel Noack and Lars Greiffendorf (both 30.00).
