Christian Freilach of Austria (known to friends as “Hasi”)
won a bronze medal in Canegrate, Italy 2007.
The same player won bronze also in European Championships 1979 in Nyborg - Kappendrup, Denmark.
This remarkable time span of 28 years, between medals
won by the same player, can be called “world record”
of a kind.
Freilach has enjoyed similar success also in domestic competitions:
he won his first Austrian Champion title back in 1976, and the latest one
in 2000.
In women’s category Gabriele Rahmlow has collected 13 individual medals between
1984 and 2002, during a time span of 18 years. » Results of WM 2007 in Canegrate, Italy » Results of EM 1979 in Nyborg / Kappendrup (Denmark)
