A variety of 25 different sports were represented at a sports fair in Odense on January 16, among these were also minigolf.
Putter Team Odense had set up one of their felt courses made for practising purposes, and this course was well visited during the 2 hours that the fair lasted.
The fair was part of a big event which also contained a prize award show and a celebration of the Danish champions within Odense. It was organized by Sport Event Fyn, and the local news paper Fyens Stiftstidende among others.
Sport Event Fyn is probably known by some people inside of the minigolf world as the co-organizer of the World Cup 2009 in Odense.
Each sport had engaged its player profiles to attract the public to the fair. Minigolf was represented by the two Danish World Cup 2009-players Anders Grønnegaard and Vincent Huus, both of Putter Team Odense, and they did a great effort showing people how to play minigolf and giving instructions to those interested in trying our sport.
And during the two hours, many people, adults as well as children, gave it a try on the felt course. The organizers estimated that more than 3000 people had visited the sports fair this afternoon. Such a success that will definitely turn out in a follow up next year.
