The defending Swedish and European champion Uppsala BGK
opened the Elitserien season 2008 with a narrow victory over
BGK Jönköping in second place and Södertälje BGK
in third place.
Tantogården BGK was left fourth in the match points,
despite playing the second best total score of the weekend
at the eternite course of Kungälv, Sweden.
The best player of the competition was Gustav Björnberg of Tantogården BGK
(average score
20.71),
followed by Anders Olsson and Carl-Johan Ryner of Uppsala BGK.
Sweden does not have separate minigolf leagues for men and women at the moment.
Two women played in this opening weekend of Elitserien 2008:
Charlotte Ryner for Uppsala BGK, and Sandra Weaver for BGK Jönköping.
