2018 Open European Deaf Championships Announcement

Costa Nova, Portugal - European Minigolfsport Federation (EMF), Clube de Minigolfe Clube da Costa Nova (CMCN) and Associação Cultural de Surdos de Águeda (ACSA) have partnered up to organize the Open Deaf European Championship from May 25-26, 2018. The championship features the same format as the World Deaf Championship held in Croatia this year, including individual and team stroke-play on the miniature golf system.
Official training will be from May 21-24, 2018, but participants are free to come and practice at the course before these dates (free of charge). The organizers want everyone to know that participation is very important to them and for the development of minigolf as a sport. They encourage you to enjoy the "Venice of Portugal" and what should hopefully be some great weather.
Further details about the tournament can be found on the event page, including the full invitation. Registration closes on March 15, 2018. Clube de Minigolfe da Costa Nova will also be organizing the annual tournament (XXII Tournament Palheiros da Costa Nova), on May 19-20, 2018. All participants are very welcome and participation is free.
The European Minigolf Sport Federation (EMF) , is the umbrella organization of 36 Minigolf sport associations Europe-wide. It is part of the World Minigolf Sport Federation.
The World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) is the umbrella organization of 63 Minigolf sports associations worldwide with Continental Associations in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Over 1,000 championships courses are approved for official competitions and over 1,500 international minigolf tournaments are held each year. Millions of players all around the world like to play minigolf as a private leisure activity and in public competitions.
