Mittler rules in Finland

John Mittler ruled with style at this weekend’s Finnish Championships on eternit in Helsinki. A margin of 13 strokes on 9 rounds down to Kosti Salonen is quite impressive.

Actually the one that was closest to John was Marko Nuotio who played in old-timers category. The best player's trophy in men (regardless of age category) was a tight match between John and Marko, but John won it by 2 points.

This was the first time John won this championships and his best before was 2nd in 1991 (aged as junior), 3rd in 2005, and 3rd in 2006.

All medalists:

Women:

1. 218 (24.22) Mirva Juhola
2. 247 (27.44) Nina Mustonen
3. 280 (31.11) Asta Korpi

Junior boys:

1. 215 (23.89) Oskari Vihervaara
2. 227 (25.22) Juuso Puolakkainen
3. 255 (28.33) Pyry Väre

Men:

1. 194 (21.56) John Mittler
2. 207 (23.00) Kosti Salonen (sd)
3. 207 (23.00) Axel Ekman (sd)

Senior men:

1. 196 (21.78) Marko Nuotio
2. 225 (25.00) Jukka Reunavuori (sd)
3. 225 (25.00) Harry Grönlund (sd)

1. 255 (28.33) Jussi Kuisma
2. 259 (28.78) Christian Poulsen
