The two Uppsala stars, Fredrik Persson and C-J Ryner, won the Landskrona Indoor Felt Marathon by ten strokes. Fredrik knows these courses by heart and is often in the top whenever there are competitions played here. For C-J on the other hand this was a first time playing in the hall in the South of Sweden.
The competition started yesterday and is a two men team marathon where one of the players shall play at the time. The other player can then try to have some rest. It was pretty soon clear that this was to deep blue score to win and two teams were leading the way. C-J and Fredrik had a hard time to keep the two home-team players Björn Andersson and Claes Lindblom behind, but in the end the margin was 10 strokes after 20 rounds.
The indoor hall in Landskrona is known to be quite easy but nevertheless a average of 24,4 on Fredrik Persson is quite impressing, especially playing in the middle of the night. Fredrik also scored a unbelievable 20 on his 6th round. Not far behind was Björn Andersson with 24,9
