The last Bundesliga match of the season 2012/13 took place on the felt course in the East German town Flöha near Chemnitz on the 22nd of June. At the beginning of June it was not clear whether the match could take place there as the course and the surrounding sports centre was completely flooded. There were severe floodings in East and South Germany at that time and Flöha was also hit. But the minigolf course was dried and cleaned very quickly with high priority because of the planned Bundesliga match. So the match could be played - with excellent weather, sunny, dry and relatively warm.
There wasn't much to decide at the top of the men's and women's teams. Hardenberg has already been the Champion of the men's teams and Göttingen secured their lead with a 2nd place in Flöha, so they are the women's teams Champion. But neither Hardenberg nor Göttingen won the match.
The ranking of the men's teams after the 1st round was as usual. Hardenberg took the lead with a team round of 168, 2 shots ahead of Dormagen-Brechten and a further 2 shots ahead of Arheilgen. Mainz was on the 4th place and couldn't catch up to the leading trio in the next rounds, so came 4th at the end. Niendorf had a very bad start and was far behind the others after the 1st round. They couldn't improve their game and ended up on the last place at the end. In the 2nd round Hardenberg added a good team round and secured their lead for the first, but Arheilgen overtook Dormagen-Brechten, who couldn't catch up to Arheilgen and Hardenberg in the next rounds, so Dormagen-Brechten reached the 3rd place at the end. With two excellent team rounds of 159 (ø 26.5) and 157 (ø 26.2) in round 3 and 4 Arheilgen overtook Hardenberg and won the match at the end with 656 (ø 27.3), 13 shots ahead of Hardenberg. So for the first time in this season Hardenberg was beaten.
Dormagen-Brechten, reaching a 3rd place and gaining 4 points with this match, overtook Niendorf in the total ranking and reached a 4th place in total. Niendorf, ending up on the 5th place in total, has the chance to keep the Bundesliga in a relegation match. There is no change on the top. Hardenberg is the Champion followed by Arheilgen and Mainz.
The best player was Oleg Klassen from Arheilgen with 104 (ø 26.0). He had a score of only 23 in the last round. Alexander Geist from Hardenberg as well as Lucas Scholz from Mainz also had rounds of 23. So apparently it was quite a good felt course as there were mainly blue scores below 30.
The women's teams were dominated again by Göttingen and Mainz. With two execellent team rounds of 82 (ø 27.3) and 83 (ø 27.7) Mainz took the lead this time and never lost it. They won with 349 (ø 29.1) 10 shots ahead of Göttingen. Bensheim-Auerbach reached the 3rd place followed by Cuxhaven and Olching.
There is not much change in the ranking of the women's teams. Göttingen is the Champion, followed by Mainz. Cuxhaven could catch up to Olching by points and equalize, but as they are 29 shots in total ahead of Olching they reached the 3rd place. Bensheim-Auerbach ended up on the 5th place and have to keep the Bundesliga by playing a relegation match.
The best lady was Nicole Gundert-Greiffendorf with 112 (ø 28.0). She started with a 25, the best round of the women. Silvia Haller from Olching also played a 25.
The relegation match - if necessary - will be held at the weekend of the 27th + 28th of July. The next Bundesliga season will start on the 8th of September.
