Huus winner in windy Danish Championships

This years Danish Championships was played between the 29-30 of June in the city of Broager on Eternit.
55 participants played 8 rounds to decide the medals. The eternit course fought hard to raise the scores and a strong and cold wind took part as well. After day one Jannick Skov (Gladsaxe) lead the men's field with a score of 68. A good lead of 5 strokes over Vincent Huus (Putter Team).
Inge-Lise Hansen lead the women class with Rikke Sørensen from Putter Team in second place.
Sunday came and it was time to decide the individual medals. Erik Meldgaard (Randers) won in convincing style the super senior group with an average of 24 Erling Jensen (Odense) and Trym Scharff Broager) had to go to sudden death before Erling could raise his hands as winner in senior group with average of 25,8 .
The ladies battled it out and Inge-Lise Hansen (Nordborg) won with 27,3. Rikke (Odense) won the battle for second place over junior player Laura Henriksen (Aalborg).
In the men's class all was open going into Sundays play. That changed quickly though when Jannick, the defending champ and Vincent Huus ran from the field. Jannick played 23, 23, 21, 21 and 25.
That was a very good score and he ended up with 22,4 in average. Mads Nørregaard (Putter Team) grabbed third place (24,3). The winner was Vincent Huus who kicked off a brilliant Sunday with a round of 18, getting on par with Jannick after that round. He then followed up with 2 rounds of 20 followed by a round of 19.
Going into the final round Vicnent lead with 6 strokes and with a final round of 21 he took the glory and the gold with a winning average of 21,5, winning by 10 strokes.
