Saturday 31 January the Dutch Minigolf Federation (FNMB) issued an extraordinary delegates meeting to apply some rule changes. The most important issue on the agenda was the Dutch premier league (LHK). A proposal was made by the members of the board to start playing with 6 players + substitute in this competition. Besides that, the winner of the league would get a ticket to play the European Cup.
After a long discussion, the delegates voted against the first issue with a big majority. Some clubs were forced to vote against it due to the difficulty to get 7 players in one team and thereby forcing themselves to step down from the LHK.
Decided was to keep playing with 4+1 teams.
The other issue was approved by the delegates. A small majority voted to change the system and send the winner of the LHK to the European Cup. Until last year a special Championship was played to do that.
The women teams will keep this seperate Championship. Winner of this Championship will be the team to play the European Cup.
