03 Mar 2011 at 13:15 | I heard an unofficial (and unconfirmed) rumour that Finnish Minigolf Federation supports the players who travel to World Adventure Golf Masters with 60 EUR per player. Period. This might be a new Finnish record, I don´t think that Finnish Minigolf Federation has ever supported a competition with a smaller sum of money (of those competitions that received any support at all).
Let us hear from other countries, how does your national federation treat this competition? Any travel expenses covered by the national federation?

01 Mar 2011 at 16:49 | Well said Andre. At least it's a start & hopefully some will come & play, enjoy it & then tell their friends. |

So someone is in charge after all? Good to hear, I already doubted that. |

28 Feb 2011 at 14:37 | I'd pay more money to see a rematch between Marcel Noack and Michael Skeggs! |

28 Feb 2011 at 13:13 | It would appear that whoever is in charge hasn't heard of planning. Perhaps they themselves were free that weekend. |
JJM (John Mittler) |
28 Feb 2011 at 07:00 | It looks like this tournament would benefit a lot from a changed date. |

27 Feb 2011 at 23:52 | Ouch! - Oliver Florence...rising star of British Minigolf...who wouldn't want to pay money to see that match-up! |
JJM (John Mittler) |
27 Feb 2011 at 21:51 | Also Minigolf US Open 2011 is played on the same weekend with this tournament, so it is 99,9% certain that no top Americans will be coming either. So if the two best adventure golf countries will be out from this event... what is left after that? Another duel between Marcel Noack and Oliver Florence? Bring your own popcorns, that will be entertaining.
Big things don´t happen accidentally. If you don´t seriously try to do something big, you will not get anything big done. Again once proven. |

27 Feb 2011 at 16:46 | I agree, no nation is really taking this seriously. Maybe part of the reason is that the final invitation was only recently published. I could also list a few other reasons.
I would have some good and easy-to-create ideas on how we should proceed in these course types and tournaments. I hope to present the ideas to the WMF soon, if they are willing to hear about them.
On the other hand I would like to encourage everyone who's played these kind of tournaments before, to participate! As JJM said, this is a step into a good direction! | Add comment | To add comments, you need to log in.
