The Swedish Elitserie headed up north to determine the second round of three and ended up in a sunny Sundsvall. The second round was played on the relatively easy but also quite challenging felt courses. Uppsala was in the lead after the first round of concrete in Skoghall with four points but this time it was not as easy journey for the reigning defenders of the title. Having their anchor-man (Carl-Johan Ryner) not present in the team it was clear that he was missed even if they filled his gap from the first round with Fredrik Persson.
Uppsala took eight points this time and was only the fourth best team of the weekend. Home team Sundsvall together with Skoghall and Södertälje all won five games and ten points this weekend. Tantogården collected six points. For three teams, Kungälv Sjöviken and Tuve it stayed with at four points.
Uppsala is though still in the lead with 20 points now 3 points ahead of Sundsvall new second with 17 points. In third place we find now Skoghall with his 16 points and Södertälje is a new four after a strong game with 14 points.
In the lower half we find Tantogården on 13 points. Tuve, who dropped a little and took just two wins now have 12 points. In position for degradation we currently find Sjöviken and last year's silverteam of Kungälv on 11 and 9 points. Great drama is to be expected when the final round to be decided in Södertälje EB lanes.
Individually best was Uppsala's Lars Brown who despite a 38 lap landed on fine 27,3 averages. After Lars followed Södertäljes Daniel Ågren at 27,6 and Skoghalls Ulf Kristiansson at 27,7 on average.
Maybe the biggest single achievement was made by Sjövikens Tuula Mörck. Tuula, internationally better known as referee, made her elitserie debut and she played better and better and in the last round she stunned all her opponents with a new course record of 23. She played in this match against the world champion Filiph Svensson and he had to accept a defeat by 4 strokes. Maybe Filiph didn’t mind too much since his team Skoghall in the end won the match.
Best individually:
1. Lars Brown, Uppsala, 27,3
2. Daniel Ågren, Sodertalje, 27,6
3. Ulf Kristiansson, Skoghall, 27,7
4. Filiph Svensson, Skoghall, 28,4
5. Morgan Munther, Sundsvall, 29,0
