Minigolf-Aces won the final match against Taivallahden RGS
136 – 160
at Finnish team championships 2009, at the felt course of Lahti. Manse Ratagolf won the bronze match against Helsingin RGK 118 – 141.
Eight teams participating in this mixed competition of 4 men or women (plus reserve players) played a league of 7 matches: one match against every opponent. 8 league points were awarded to the team that played a lower total score in the match (or 4 points to both teams in case of tied score), and also in every pairing of two players from both teams, the player with a better round score earned 2 league points for his team (or 1 point to both teams, in case of tied score).
Manse Ratagolf (Tampere) played the best total score of the weekend (team average 32.18) and three best team rounds of the competition (118, 118 and 120). Minigolf-Aces had a weaker average score 32.61, but it received so many league points from suitable score differences to opponents in the pairings (as explained above) that the league tables after 7 match rounds showed MG-Aces leading with 103 league points, Manse RG second with only 85 league points, TaRGS third with 60 league points, and HRGK fourth with 58 league points.
Four best teams of the 7 league match rounds continued to semi-finals: 1st against 4th and 2nd against 3rd. Manse Ratagolf lost the semi-final to Taivallahden RGS by one point, landing to a disappointing bronze medal in the competition, with the most spectacular game performance of the weekend.
Three best players of the competition were Joni Rintala (average 30.33), Jukka Reunavuori (30.78) and Juha Wellenius (31.29). » results of all matches (final and bronze match on top) » league points, after matches between all teams » statistics of individual players
