Sweden was left empty-handed in the international tournament
for players under 23 years of age, played on 23-24 February at
Sport Oase indoor eternite course in Salzburg, Austria.
Eight teams from four countries (AUT, GER, SUI, SWE) played
matches against each other, counting lane wins rather than total round scores.
The two teams of Sweden were left on ranks 6 and 8,
as the other countries collected all prizes off the table.
The first prize went to Germany 1 (Max Hermann, Oleg Klassen, Jessica Werkmann & Daniel Klosek),
the second prize to Switzerland 1 (Marco Nicolussi, Melanie Blaser, Philippe Charrière & Reto Sommer),
and the third prize to Austria 2 (Andrea Hackl, Thomas Obertaxer, Daniel Krof & Martin Knapp).
Philippe Charrière of Switzerland was clearly the best player of the competition,
with an average score 21.00
at the difficult eternite course of Sport Oase. The second best player was Daniel Klosek
of Germany, who lost one point per round to Charrière with his average
22.00.
The best female player was Birgit Dallinger of Austria, with an average score
