Sunday was dominated by 3 high class eternit competitions in Uppsala, Gothenburg and Hjelmsjö in the south.
There was a high class starting field at the Uppsala eternit competition played on Sunday. And of course the results were dominated by the home club. It was to become a battle between two of the best players in the world the last decade Anders Olsson and Carl-Johan Ryner.
Anders had a grip after three rounds of four after 21-19-19. But Carl-Johan was not giving up even if he was 4 strokes behind. And on the last lap he was getting closer and closer with a long row of aces. And in front of lane 18 they were actually equal. But a 2 on the window for C-J and an ace for Anders made the victory ending up in Olsson’s hand.
Lars Brown was in third, Fredrik Persson in fourth and Karin Wiklund in fifth making it top five all Uppsala.
In the west on the future Swedish Championships courses Peter Eisenschmidt, Askim, won the 7 rounds eternit competition with an average of 22,4 on the rather tricky lanes of Gullbergsbro. Second 3 strokes behind was Daniel Salminen of Kungälv and third was Patrik Jönsson of Jönköping.
In the south the eternit competition was held in Hjelmsjö and here it was won by the newest of the Swedish national team players, Fredrik Tagesson of Olofström. He was 1 stroke in front of Dan Trulsson of Tantogården and junior national team player Tom Karlsson Forsberg of Olofström.
